This book is mainly about two boys that are bullied because their different from other people. Even though the two boys are different from other people they become bestfriends.They help eachother up when people bring them down. Together they are Freak and Mighy.
Christine, How they overcome their differences is that they both had different things than others because Max had big feet and Freak had crippled legs. So they just stayed away from the kids that were bullying them.
Annie, What makes them become friends is their differences and what helps them to get through this difficult stage in life working together.
I think Max is a very fearful of his dad so he wont run away. His dad is a dangerous guy who is brainless and judges people for what they look like. He is very strict with his son because he doesn't want people to think he's a "retard," like he said Grim and Gram supposedly said he was. His expectations are very high for his only son.
So Jonathan his dad is dangerous to me because he recently got out of jail for murder. He also took his son which is kidnapping and before they went to sleep he tied up his own son just so he won't run away. Also his dad by law isnt supposed to go near the house or near Grim, Gram, and Max, so he can go back to jail.

They spend every day with each other and become Freak The Might when Kevin gets on top of Max's sholders. It's like they are unstopable.
At this point that I'm reading this book, I'm very frustrated by this character named Max who is a boy that lives with his grandparents. I'm very mad at him because his father after so many years came back and he just kidnapped his son who he tied up and I'm frustrated because he don't know his father and he is getting tied up and dosen't do anything he suppose to know that somethig wrong is going to happen.
I think Loretta was mistreated as a child so she is used to it. She has alot of mixed emotions. She always gets scared when Iggy tells her to shut up. She doesn't know how to express herself at the right time. She is very smart but i think she doesn't like to show it. She is also very kind but it seems she does't know when to show it.
I've read this book before and to me it was very to my liking it sometimes has an rising action then a falling action. I also, like this book because it got me wondering of what was going to happen next.But, Joezel why are you frustrated with Max?
Joezel, Yes maybe he should make a better decision about this situation like you said go tell someone but, maybe do you thnk he thinks that he is doing the right thing? Like put yourself in his shoes. What would you do?

Okay so Nathan i made that prediction because the way Max and Freak explian her,she looks disgusting. She doesn't know when to express her self, also she always shuts up when Iggy(her boyfriend) yells at her. It seems like he pretty much controls her all the time. Her house is a disgusting and when i try to imagen her i see a wome who is used to mistreatment, small, and low self asteemed

David, I can connect this to modern life because now a days people get bullied or picked on because there is something different about them, and they don't tell authorities because then they get scared and get picked on more for what people call it "snitch".
I think Max father never was interested in his son, I think this because after so much time he now supposely cares about Max. I would want to know what motivates Max to know more about his father after he left for a long time. This book is very mysterious and I want to know more on few character such as Loretta and Iggy who are characters that are related to Max father, but I'm not quite sure on who they really are an d what's really their relationship with Max father.

So in the last chapters of the book it talks about how Max is like waiting in the hospital, and they won't let him because he always goes there in dawn.And now everyone is making such a fuzz that he's in the hospital to visit Kevin (Freak) Freak is having a very hard time to move, that's why he is going to have a special operation, so Freak gives Max a book so that he can fill it with adventures about Freak the Mighty.But Freak didn't make the operation because the doctors said that his heart was too big for his body. So, then a year after people were feeling sorry for him, finally he wrote a book about the adventures of Freak the Mighty.
Noel, Freak dies and Max was pretty upset because in the book. After the doctors told Max that Freak died, he wanted to see him soo badly that he was ignoring security guards that told him to not go in there, but he was fighting everyone that was in his way, just to see his best friend. So yeah pretty much Max felt devestated.
Yes it's sad that Max father goes to jail but he is a criminal and he was about to hurt Max his own son which is very surprising. Thanks to Freak he save Max from getting hurt. This shows Max how much he cares about him this can bring them much closer.
i wonder if the author has been in a similar problem where he lost a very close friend from a sickness similar to freak so he got the idea to wright Freak The Mighty? If he didn't then i mus say his mind must run wild and he is a very great thinker.
I agree with you because I feel like that he was in the same position, but like it was about his friend and him then he would just switch up the names, so that it's not that similar to him.

OMG! I can't believe what I just read in the book Freak The Mighty this book has a very sad ending you won't believe what happens this book will leave you breatheless.

One thing that caught my attention most about this book is how Max dad actually took him from his grandparents then chaind him up to him just incase he tryed to run away !!!
